Gebr. Pfeiffer’s separators have always been optimised, whether by using CFD simulation (computational fluid dynamics) on the basis of small-scale tests or by analysing experience gained over many years. Result is remarkable: a very high cutting power and very high finenesses achieved.

Principle of operation
Material to be separated is distributed in the airflow and transported by it to the area of separation, where the compliant millings are separated from the non-compliant (refuse). These are taken up by a cone and transported to other stages of preparation, while the fines are evacuated by a cyclone or filter installed downstream.
